crux, ved tie tvrdenia si neodporuju. Launch a masova dostupnost su 2 rozdielne veci. Inac povedane, na konci marca bude minimalny launch, tj karty budu chodit prvy mesiac podobne alebo este v mensom mnozstve ako HD58x0.

[Rumour] Geforce GTX 480 barely faster than Radeon 5870
SemiAccurate have got hold of a few performance figures for the Geforce GTX 480.
Earlier rumours indicated at the GTX 480 being upto 60% faster than the HD 5870.
SemiAccurate's sources report that the GTX 480, on average, will end up being a mere 5% faster than the HD 5870 at higher resolutions, despite costing Nvidia a lot more to manufacture.
The GTX 480 is set to contain 512 shaders, as initially expected, but far lower clocks than the clock target of 750/1500 Mhz. Instead, it will be clocked betwen 600-625 MHz for the core, 1200-1250 MHz for the shaders (or, as Nvidia calls it, CUDA cores).
Reports from CES which suggested a hot and noisy card are reflected.
Idle temperatures are reported to be 70C, despite running at a very noisy 70% fan speed.
The GF100 architecture does have its advantages, especially in tessellation situations, where all 512 shaders can work on tessellation.
In the Unigine Heaven benchmark, the GTX 480 scores twice as much as the HD 5870, blazing past the HD 5970 along the way.

ale pochybujem že bude len 5% nad 5870 a v idle bude mať 70st pri 70% otáčkach fanu... to sa mi zdajú až nereálne blbosti ak som to z toho článku dobre pochopil.

GT 320, 330 a 340 - su zalozene na jadre ktore malo GT240. Ale aby bola sranda uplna, niektore GT330 maju jadro G92 .

V tom clanku je velmi vela rozumnych argumentov. Fermi bol zrejme taky ich sen, a oni nepochopili, ze v hentom ich prevedeni nevyjde.
Dufam vsak, ze to tak nie je.

*Turkish website DonanimHaber have got their hands on more information about Nvidia's much anticipated (and much delayed) Geforce GTX 400 series. First off, the Geforce GTX 470 will end up 20-25% faster than the previous-generation Geforce GTX 285. That would put it somewhere between the Radeon HD 5850 and the Radeon HD 5870. Unfortunately, the price is rumoured to be $500 at this early stage, which is simply astronomical considering the competition.
*The faster Geforce GTX 480 will retail at $600, and should end up faster than the much cheaper HD 5870, though by very little. Needless to say, the HD 5970 will end up much faster than the GTX 480. The GTX 480 is expected to have similar power consumption to the HD 5970, closing in on the PCI-e barrier of 300W.
*Something about a dual GTX 470 card was mentioned - which was lost in translation. A dual GPU card will be highly unlikely, considering the GTX 480 is rumoured to be consuming nearly 300W. It would seem like the GTX 480 will barely beat the 1+ year old GTX 295, at a higher price (than the GTX 295 in 2009), with about the same power consumption.

Second-tier graphics card makers are unlikely to start mass shipments of their Nvidia GeForce GTX 480/470-based (Fermi) graphics cards until April despite that Nvidia plans to announce the GPU on March 26 since most of the them have not yet received complete reference board designs, according to sources from graphics card makers.
