Plánované ovládače - Catalyst 10.2 a 10.3 WHQL

Žiaľ, z časových dôvodov som sa osobne nemohol zúčastniť conference call-u. Prečo aj dať viac termínov. Ale späť k ovládačom. AMD/ATi sa konečne pohla v oblasti CF profilov. Heureka! Plánované novinky:

Catalyst 10.2

1. Crossfire profile – Per-game Crossfire profiles are being moved out of the drivers, so that AMD can distribute out-of-band profile updates.
2. CrossfireX rearchitecture - Certain parts of AMD’s multi-GPU code has been moved from the 3D driver to another driver component; this segmentation is largely to benefit Fuzion integrated CPU/GPUs later this year.
3. Ultra Low Power State – This feature for lower-idling on Crossfire slave cards has been in the entire 5000 series. However it’s only being enabled across the board starting with this release.
4. Crossfire Eyefinity – Eyefinity now works with all Crossfire configurations, not just on the 5970..
5. DisplayPort Audio – The 5000 series is now capable of outputting audio over the DisplayPort in accordance with the DisplayPort standard.

Catalyst 10.3

1. Catalyst Mobility – AMD will once again be releasing Catalyst drivers for most Mobility GPUs.
2. Eyefinity Bezel Correction – Eyefinity setups can finally be adjusted to compensate for the space occupied by monitor bezels.
3. Eyefinity Per Display Controls – Per display color correction, particularly useful for mismatched monitors.
4. Eyefinity Multiple Groups
5. Eyefinity Display Configuration Switching
6. 3D Stereo driver hooks – AMD is implementing some low-level hooks to help 3rd-party 3D displays work with Radeon cards.

čo takto radšej odstrániť GSOD a black screeny
hlavne že CF a Eyefinity má v PC 99% užívateľov ...
podľa steamu, čiže podľa mňa vcelku slušný štatistický výber, má CF/SLI 2% užívateľov

s 10.2 monitor sa uz v setriacom rezime vypne korektne a nie len black screen ako s 10.1

podľa prvých reakcií - mierne zvýšenie výkonu v Dirt2 a 2D

Par dni pouzivam 10.3 Preview s preinstalovanym winom a nezaznamenal som ziaden problem so stabilitou a ani pad systemu.
Predtym som mal 8.703 beta, ktora mi sem tam padala ale to mohlo byt zapricinene aj prechodom z nV karty na HD 5850.

No otázkou je či to je pravdivé merania a či trošku prifarbené.... Ale každopádne ma to neskutočne teší...
P.S. : Pre porovnanie som si skúsil s mojim HW (v podpise) a mám 10.03 preview testnúť Dirt2 , 1680x 1050 ,8xMSAA a všetko na max.(ultra-high) atď... No benchmark v Dirt2 mi vypísal priemerné 68.1 FPS(na ich zostave tam majú namerané cca 74FPS) (podotýkam ,že aj CPU aj GPU mám v default...)...

ten dirt2 som skúsil aj ja a žiadna zmena
zato mám 25fps v NWN2 , pre info 260GTX tam dávala 35+

to mate s 10.3 driverom? a chcem sa spytat ci tieto drivery nerobia BSOD, lebo mne na stavajucich 10.2 asi tak 1-2x denne, s 10.1 som nemal ziadne pady systemu

tak narozdiel od preview okamžite ma navšívila šeda smrť a navštevovala daľej...
tak neviem čo v tom amd robia
