Sources close to the company have confirmed the existence of the 65 nanometre R600 core but they could not confirm its R670 or R650 codenames.


The sources confirmed that 65 nanometre R600 is not just a shrinked chip, it is a redesigned core scheduled for introduction in Q3.

Potvrdene, ze R650/670 je skutocne prebudovane jadro R600, nielen prechod stavajuceho jadra R600 na 65nm

Ale zasa je to z Fudzilly, tak predsa to treba brat s urcitou rezervou

Zdroje blizke k spolocnosti potvrdili existenciu 65nm verzie cipu R600 ale nemozu potvrdit ci bude mat kodove oznacenie R670 alebo R650.

R650 by mal mat viac texturovacich jednotiek a viac sp, 65nm verziu "obycajnej" R600 by som uvital, snad to "uvedenie" v Q3 znamena aj ze uz budu dostupne na trhu v Q3

To je sice pekne, ale ked nVidia kratko na to uvedie high-end deviatkovej rady....to by chcelo, aby ten chip vysiel uz v lete

R650 podla mna nebude mat moc sancu na G92, ak vide skor nez G92 tak bude ATI zrejme kralovat na poste high endu iba par mesiacov a potom sa bude znova dlho cakat na R700

Our sources have confirmed that ATI can easily make dual GPU RV670 cards, as the power consumption is very low.

Such a card will clearly end up faster than the 8800 Ultra and it is not that complex to build. This can be the mysterious R670 card while R650 is still the die shrunk R600 core.

Various sources already confirmed the shrunken R600, a 65 nanometre version, but we are not sure about the codename of the product.

RV670 has a 256 bit memory interface, but that can be the next 7950GX2.

RV630PRO works at 600 MHz

RV630XT at 800 MHz

ATI partners are getting ready to showcase a mass of Radeon HD 2600 XT and PRO cards. We already reported a while ago that RV630XT works at 800 MHz but we can also confirm that RV630 PRO works at 600 MHz core and the cards will come with 256 or 512 MB of memory.

The chips and the card are scheduled to showcase at Computex and we expect to see a bunch of HD 2400 cards as well.

The only big problems with these 65 nanometre chips is that they wont start shipping until first weeks or Q3 or should we say by middle of July

Radeon HD 2900 with 1GB of memory due next month?

As we've seen, AMD's new Radeon HD 2900 XT graphics card isn't a particularly impressive performer when compared to Nvidia's GeForce 8800-series offerings. However, if a report by TweakTown is to be believed, AMD plans to take another shot at Nvidia with a version of the Radeon HD 2900 XT featuring double the memory and presumably higher memory bandwidth. The site says a Radeon HD 2900 XT with 1GB of GDDR4 memory will be available next month. This card will be 9" (23cm) long, just like the existing model that's outfitted with 512MB of GDDR3 memory. However, it will have the advantage of sporting the highest memory capacity of any single, shipping consumer graphics card to date—indeed, even Nvidia's $800 GeForce 8800 Ultra comes with "only" 768MB of GDDR3 memory.

A move to GDDR4 RAM may also work in the Radeon's favor when it comes to memory bandwidth, although the existing card is hardly lacking on that front. Thanks to its 512-bit memory bus, the current 2900 XT squeezes a whopping 105.6GB/s of memory bandwidth out of relatively pedestrian 825MHz GDDR3 memory. But with GDDR4 RAM clocked at, say, 1000MHz, the Radeon could see its bandwidth extended to a total of 128GB/s.

hmm taky stvorjadrov procak na 3GHz urobi v tom teste svoje a navise je to robene na 1024x768 tak imho nic moc

Vykon vyzera zatial podobny X1950GT/Pro co by ATi stacilo aby predbehla GeForce 8600GTS . Ak stanovia primerane ceny vyzera to na velmi zaujimavu kartu. Tieto info ale treba brat s urcitou rezervou..
